Belgrade Vis Moot Team on the Roll
In the course of their preparations for the participation at this years’ XXIV Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, after securing the first place at the II AIA-CAM Pre-Moot the Vis Moot team of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law participated at the All Munich Rounds, a pre-moot competition organized by the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich from 9th to 11th of March 2017.
During the two days of competition, our students pleaded against the teams from the University of Maastricht, Leibnitz University of Hanover, Bilgi University of Istanbul, University of Munich, Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg, University of Milano and Sciences Po University of Paris. Despite winning all the rounds in which they participated, our team secured the forth place in the final ranking among 20 teams from 12 countries our students, while the first place went to the team of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
This years’ team of the University of Belgrade is comprised of the fourth-year students and the master students: Ana Radojević, Katarina Tomić, Milica Volarev, Tatjana Radivojević, Tanja Milojević, Jovan Mićović, Stefan Savić and Nevena Stojković. Like in the previous fourteen years, the team is coached by Professor Dr. Vladimir Pavić and Assistant Professor Dr. Milena Đorđević. The coaches of the team are assisted by Assistant Professor Dr. Marko Jovanović and Assistant Uroš Živković, as well as by the former Moot participants.
The next stage of preparations of our students shall take place in Moscow on the 19th March, at the pre-moot hosted by the Lomonosov University (MSU), and in Belgrade, at the world’s largest pre-moot tournament – the Belgrade Open Pre-Moot, that will gather more than 80 teams from 30 countries on 1st and 2nd of April 2017.
The participation of our students at the Vis moot in Vienna and the preceding pre-moots would not have been possible without the generous support of our team’s donors.
