Students of University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, Miloš Rafailović and Nikola Sugaris won the debate tournament “Rijeka Open 2014”, which was held from 9 to 12 August 2014 in Croatia.

This competition, organized by the Rijeka Debating Union, has an international character and this year it gathered 32 teams.

The final debate was held at the Trsat Castle, a medieval fortress and it was open to the public. The topic of the final was “This House is against consumerism”. The opponents of our debaters were students from Germany, Sweden and the United States.

The best speaker of the tournament was Georgiana Mihut, student from Finland, while Nikola Sugaris was fourth and Miloš Rafailović was sixth best speaker.

The next tournament will be held next weekend in Slovenia.
