Jurisprudence Jam Sessions

Jurisprudence Jam Sessions

The end of the year 2022 was marked by exciting ALF Project all-week events, at the Faculty of Law University of Belgrade under the name of “Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week”. BLPW consisted of three Jurisprudence Jam Sessions, the 9th Student Conference in Theory and Philosophy of Law, three Kick-off Meetings and two administrative workshops.

Jurisprudence Jam Sessions offered participants a rare opportunity to “jam” on three leading topics of the project: law and language, law and practical rationality, and law and logic. The first Jam Session was on Monday, November 28th and the speakers were Andrej Kristan and Julieta Rabanos from University of Genova who were jamming on inspiring questions of legal interpretation. Tuesday was reserved for the University of Surrey and discussions on normativity and authority by Veronica Rodriguez Blanco, Kenneth Ehrenberg and Ambrose Y. K. Lee. The last jam session was organized online and was hosted by the University of Lisbon. David Duarte and Pedro Moniz Lopes spoke about the usefulness of logic in law and its application.

The recordings of all three jam sessions are available here:
