Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week
It is our pleasure to invite you to the upcoming events within the Horizon Twinning project “Advancing cooperation of the Foundations of Law”, which will take place next week at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
The Horizon Twinning project is aimed at the exchange of scientific and administrative knowledge between the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade and the Universities of Genoa, Lisbon and Surrey. Accordingly, ALF’s academic kick-off event is the “Jurisprudence Jam Sessions”, which will take place from November 28th to November 30th, 2022, along with the annual Student Conference in Legal Theory and Philosophy – on December 2nd, 2022.
Jurisprudence Jam Sessions are conceived as events involving a group of legal philosophers who “improvise” on some of the contemporary topics in legal theory, thus covering the three leading themes of the project: law and language, law and practical rationality, and law and logic. These sessions should be as informal as possible, encouraging all present participants to jump in freely with questions for the “jamming” speaker, as well as to continue the philosophical “improvisation” by expressing comments, criticisms and dilemmas.
After that, on Friday, December 2, 2022, the 9th annual Student conference in theory, sociology and philosophy of law, entitled “The Future of International Rule of Law”, will be held.
We hereby invite you to attend the mentioned activities and contribute to the discussion, as well as to forward the notification to interested participants. All events, except for Wednesday’s session (which will be exclusively online), will be hybrid in nature, meaning you can also join via Webex.
