The 6th conference “Intellectual property and the Internet” provided insight into the latest copyright and trademark law problems

On June 14, 2022, the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and RNIDS – Serbian Internet Domain Registry Foundation organized the conference “Intellectual property and the Internet” for the sixth time. The conference was organized in hybrid format – at the Faculty of Law premises while being streamed online live. The dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković, the director of RNIDS Mr. Dejan Đukić and the president of the Organising board Prof. Dr Dušan V. Popović delivered welcome speeches. They all emphasized a very successful cooperation between the two institutions which signed cooperation agreement few years ago.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Eleonora Rosati (University of Stockholm) who spoke about the copyright exceptions and limitations in EU law. Prof. Rosati highlighted the recent case law of the European courts in the said area.

The first conference session was dedicated to copyright issues and consisted in presentations by Prof. Dr. Dušan V. Popović. Prof. Dr. Sanja Savčić and Assist. Novak Vujičić. The first session was chaired by Prof. Dr Slobodan Marković.

The second session was dedicated to trademarks and domain names. The speakers were: Prof. Dr. Marko Jovanović, Prof. Dr. Jelena Ćeranić Perišić, Dr. Mina Jovanović and Dr. Maša Mišković. The second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Dušan V. Popović.
