On Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 during the manifestation “Non-Aligned 2021” which marked 60 years from the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, University of Belgrade Faculty of Law welcomed the Ambassador of India to Serbia, H.E. Shri Sanjiv Kohli, and the Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture and the special delegate of the Indian Prime Minister, H.E. Meenakashi Lekhi. First, the Dean of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković, greeted everyone, and then Mrs. Lekhi held a short lecture on the structure of the judiciary in India. She touched on the topics of the nature of the constitution of India and the way it shaped the judiciary, types of courts that exist in India, the relationship and interinfluence of the three branches of power, as well as the challenges that can be found within the judicial system.
