On Tuesday, May 28^th 2019, the Faculty of Law was visited by the Rector of MGIMO-University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations), member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ambassador, Professor Anatoly Vasilyevich Torkunov (Анатолий Васильевич Торкунов). After visiting the President of Serbia and several ministers, and signing the new cooperation treaty with the University of Belgrade, Academician Torkunov met the Rector of the Univeristy of Belgrade, Professor Dr Ivanka Popović, the Dean, Professor Dr Zoran Mirković, as well as the Faculty’s delegation, at our Faculty. After the meeting in the Dean’s office, Prof. Torkunov held the lecture „Rivalry of great powers in the conditions of indeterminacy“ in the amphitheater II. Although the examination period had already begun, the amphitheater was filled with interested students and professors, who listened to the lecture with simultaneous interpretation, and Serbian graduates from MGIMO were also in the audience. After the lecture, a lively discussion took place.
