The visit of our Faculty’s delegation to Jasenovac and the Banjaluka Faculty of Law
A delegation of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, comprised of the Dean, Professor Dr Zoran Mirković, Vice-Deans Professor Dr Marko Đurđević and Professor Dr Bojan Milisavljević, Professor Dr Boris Begović and Professor Dr Igor Vuković, visited the memorial site where the Jasenovac concentration camp used to be on February 5th this year, and laid a wreath as a token of remembrance of all of its victims.
A presentation of the collection of papers “The Legal Order of the Independent State of Croatia” was held in the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Srpska in Banjaluka on the same day, organised by the Serbian Cultural Society “Prosvjeta”. The book was presented by its editors, Prof. Dr Boris Begović and Prof. Dr Zoran Mirković, as well as one of the authors, Prof. Dr Igor Vuković, as well as by the historian Prof. Dr Dragan Davidović from Banjaluka.
The delegation of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law attended the celebration of 44 years of work and development of the University of Banjaluka Faculty of Law on February 6th. In his address to the gathering, the Dean of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr Zoran Mirković, pointed out some elements of the history of European universities significant for today’s university life, the challenges faced by law faculties today, as well as the tight bond between the Banjaluka Faculty of Law and the Belgrade Faculty of Law, which should be nurtured and improved to mutual satisfaction.
