The University of Belgrade Faculty of Law team secured the third place in the seventh regional Big Deal competition of law students in the area of Company Law. The competition was held from 29 November to 1 December 2017, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Big Deal Competition is a simulation of a business transaction and is consisted of two stages. In the first, written part, the teams have compiled a due diligence report and a share purchase agreement as buyer’s representatives, while in the second stage of the competition students presented the written acts and answered the questions of attorneys. Both stages are conducted in English language.

This year Belgrade team was comprised of five students: Ms. Aleksandra Čvorović, Mr. Vladimir Mitrović, Mr. Stefan Jevtović, Mr. Stefan Raičević (fourth year students) and Barbara Kostić (master student), who worked under the guidance of Assistant Professor Jelena Lepetić. The convincing performance provided students Ms. Aleksandra Čvorović, Mr. Stefan Jevtović and Mr. Stefan Raičević with internship opportunity at the law office Janković, Popović & Mitić, which is a record number of practices assigned to one team. In addition, the due diligence report written by our students was praised as the best written report at the competition.
