On 21 October 2016 the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law had a pleasure of hosting Dr. Martijn van der Burg,  Assistant Professor of History at the Open Universiteit Nederland  who gave a lecture on the Civil Code of the Netherlands of 1838 and how it was impacted by the Code civil des Français (Code Napoléon).

The lecture was given to the first year students who demonstrated profound interest for the topic and spent and hour discussing various issues on the topic with  Dr. M.J. van der Burg.
