Accession to the WTO and Obligations Arising from the Accession Protocole
On 11 May 2016 the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law had an honour of hosting Dr. Christian Pitschas, LL.M., Managing Partner at the IDEAS Centre, Geneva, with whom the Faculty has signed a cooperation agreement. As the first step in the cooperation, Dr. Pitschas gave a lecture to students, within the class of International Commercial (Trade) Law, on Accession to the WTO and Obligations Arising from the Accession Protocole.
In his lecture Dr. Pitschas explained the legal effects of the commitments agreed in the WTO accession protocol. He exemplified this through three different cases that had been adjudicated in the WTO dispute settlement system involving China’s accession commitments.
