INTERNATIONALISATION OF STUDY PROGRAMS IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL LAW
Dr Mirjana Drenovak-Ivanović, full professor in Environmental law and Climate change law, visited the University of Maribor Faculty of Law as a guest lecturer from May 29th to June 4th. The visit was part of the programme of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia launched with the aim of internationalising education. In order to internationalise study programs in the field of environmental law, Prof. Dr Rajko Knez and Prof. Dr Aleš Ferčič invited Prof. Dr Drenovak-Ivanović to hold lectures for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students. According to the agreed teaching plan, Prof. Dr Drenovak-Ivanović held lectures on the following topics: the Aarhus Convention, Challenges in the implementation of the Directive on Environmental Liability and the practice of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Climate disputes and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, the European Green Deal and new EU regulation (,,Fit for 55″, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, EU Emissions Trading System, EU Taxonomy, Challenges in the Implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Draft Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence) and Regulatory Framework for the Protection of Biodiversity in the EU.
