The regional competition for the best student essay in the field of International Refugee Law

on the topic

„Seventy years of the UN Convention on the status of refugees – the development of the international protection of refugees“.

The contest is open to law students at all levels of studies (bachelor, master, doctoral) attending any of the law faculties in the region (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania). Papers should be written in English or one of the BCMS languages (Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian). Papers should contain a cover page (title of the paper, name, date of birth, email address, university and level of legal studies attended at the moment of submission), abstract (150 words), manuscript (15-20 pages) and reference list. Manuscripts should be word processed in the following format: font: Times New Roman, Line spacing: 1,5, font size main text: 12 pt, font size footnotes: 10 pt.

Papers should be sent by e-mail to professor Ivana Krstić at ikrstic@ius.bg.ac.rs. The deadline for submitting papers is 30 September 2021.

Award: The author of the best essay will attend a course in the field of refugee law at the prestigious International Institute of Humanitarian Law in San Remo.
