Our students won the XXIX Oratory Festival in Sremska Mitrovica
On December 13, 2020, the XXIX Oratory Festival “SIRMIUM LUX VERBI” – organized by “Srem”, a local cultural society, in cooperation with the Museum of Srem – was held in Sremska Mitrovica. At this prestigious oratory competition, Kristina Omerović, a third-year student and this year’s all-round winner of the Oratory Competition of Law Students at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, won the first prize, taking part in the category called “Original Speech” (“Autorska beseda” in Serbian), while the second prize in the same category went to Janko Balšić, master student and this year’s winner of the first prize in the assigned topic category at the Oratory Competition of Law Students at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. Kristina Omerović also won a special award from the “Jelkić” Law Office. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Oratory Festival in Sremska Mitrovica was held online, without audience, and adhering to all epidemiological measures. The contestants were evaluated by the jury comprising Olivera Jelkić (president of the panel), lawyer and writer from Belgrade, Andrijana Videnović, actress from Belgrade, and Zoran Levajac, MA, lawyer from Sremska Mitrovica.
