Judge Krystyna Kowalik-Bańczyk gave the keynote speech at IPI 2020
Judge of the General Court of the European Union, Dr. Krystyna Kowalik-Bańczyk, gave the keynote address at the fifth conference “Intellectual Property and the Internet 2020” (IPI 2020). The conference was organized as an online event, due to the current epidemic. Judge Kowalik-Bańczyk analyzed the case law of the General Court related to the use of trademarks in the online environment. A number of Serbian experts in Intellectual Property Law also participated in the conference and discussed various copyright-related topics: Prof. Slobodan Marković, Prof. Dušan Popović, Prof. Sanja Radovanović, Dr. Svjetlana Ivanović, Dr. Andrea Radonjanin, MA Novak Vujičić and MA Maša Mišković. One conference session was dedicated to domain names. The participants in this session were Dr. Alexandre Cruquenaire, Attorney at Lexing Belgium and Professor at the University of Namur (Belgium), Prof. Marko Jovanović and MA Dejan Đukić, head of RNIDS Legal department. IPI 2020 was co-organized by the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and Serbian National Internet Domain Registry Foundation (RNIDS). The first IPI conference was held in 2015.
