The University of Belgrade Faculty of Law team won the first place in the regional competition dedicated to company law – Big Deal, organized by TLA (Top-Tier Legal Adriatic). The competition  is held entirely in English. Our faculty was represented by Mila Radosavljević, Dušan Nikolić (master students), Nikola Lazić, Dušan Vasiljević and Katarina Milić (fourth year students), under the mentorship of Assist. Prof. Jelena Lepetić.

The competition was held on November 28^th-29^th, 2019 and hosted by the University of Kragujevac Faculty of Law. The Big Deal Competition is a simulation of M&A transactions. The students’ task was to act as attorneys at law and to write and submit a due diligence report and share purchase agreement. After the presentation of the due diligence and share purchase agreement, the teams of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law and the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law proceeded to the finals where they negotiated the shareholders’ agreement in order to protect their clients’ interests. By the unanimous decision of the commission, our team was named the best; furthermore, as many as three members of the team were awarded with certificates of excellence as outstanding participants, which is a first in the history of this competition. Therefore, Mila Radosavljević, Dušan Nikolić and Katarina Milić wеre rewarded with internship at the law office Janković, Popović & Mitić.
