On 22 September 2017 the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in cooperation with Arbitration Association of Serbia and German Institution for Arbitration (DIS), with the support of Backer McKenzie and Karanovic/Nikolic law firms organized an arbitration seminar on Institutional Efforts to Enhance Arbitration. Moderator and panelists were esteemed practitioners from Serbia, Austria and Germany, including: Mr. James Menz, Deputy Secretary General of DIS, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Pavic, Vice President of BAC, Mr. Filip Boras, partner in BakerMcKenzie, Dr. Miroslav Paunovic, attorney-at-law and Ms. Senka Mihaj, partner at MIM law office. The seminar was well attended by practitioners from Serbia and the region, including commercial court judges, notaries public, professors and students. The discussion on relevant arbitration topics were continued in a friendly atmosphere at a subsequent dinner event sponsored by Backer McKenzie and Karanovic/Nikolic law firms.
