Lecture “Getting to Know the Work of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights”

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Ms. Dragana Korljan, Coordinator of the Unit for Justice, Protection and Social Rights within the Special Procedures Branch, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, visited the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, from which she graduated herself, and held a lecture on the topic “Getting to Know the Work of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights”. The students had already had the opportunity to meet Ms. Korljan in Geneva, in April 2018, during a study trip – seminar in the United Nations, which was organised on the initiative of UN Club of University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. Now she has presented a highly informative lecture, which enabled our students to get acquainted with the work of the UN and the UN High Commissariat for Human Rights. Besides a great number of students, the lecture was also attended by Prof. Dr Ivana Krstić and Teaching Assistant Marija Vlajković from the Department of International Law and International Relations at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, as well as Nikola Petrović, Serbia’s Youth Delegate to the United Nations.
